Intensive Moscow's Assaults Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to drinking water, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not window dressing but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets struck the country's power systems, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to demolish the country's energy grid, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were preparing for more assaults.
